The sneaky-snake flat belly-crawled:
round and through, up and over;
invisible, unseen - yet sly.
We dreamy-dums back sleepy-snored:
in and out, on and on;
oblivious, content - yet blind.
What's this? Surprise!
Two fang marks felt.
Exclamations! Revelations!
The death-blow dealt.
That sneaky-snake flat belly-crawls:
over and under, within and without;
dangerous, silent - yet here.

What is Wanted?
Peace proclaimed,
avowed, dictated, demanded.
a word, a state, a setting.
an empty promise.
no backing, no return, no intent.
Instead the rush
adrenaline, excitement, desire.
a novel, a movie, a song.
history repeats the sin,
serenity lost, seduced.
avowed, dictated, demanded.
a word, a state, a setting.
an empty promise.
no backing, no return, no intent.
Instead the rush
adrenaline, excitement, desire.
a novel, a movie, a song.
history repeats the sin,
serenity lost, seduced.
On the Watchtower - or not?
I talk and talk and talk,
but words are gone;
snatched and grabbed,
pick-pocketed away.
Cassandra to deaf ears
that will not open -
perhaps I am, indeed, insane.
but words are gone;
snatched and grabbed,
pick-pocketed away.
Cassandra to deaf ears
that will not open -
perhaps I am, indeed, insane.
